The basics of this position:

Performs duties in one or more media functional areas necessary to provide Information Technology asset management services. Conducts inventory; maintains appropriate records and files. Maintains databases for equipment and materials dealing with inventory and circulation; proposes and implements system improvements. Performs duties necessary to process IT department Asset inventory and Asset database updates; prepares materials for shipment; completes department paperwork. Works with Project Coordinators and Campus IT Managers to process and inventory all Information Technology equipment orders. Performs other duties as assigned.

What you'll do:

  • Uses the breadth of resources available. Answers directional questions. Provides assistance and
    information to faculty and students using materials and equipment.
  • Performs routine or preventive maintenance on media equipment. Conducts inventory of equipment.
  • Maintains appropriate files to support various functions; compiles statistics.
  • Maintains inventory of instructional materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Receives and distributes materials, equipment, and supplies delivered to campus: receives materials,
    equipment, and supplies; checks materials to verify and record quantities; makes notes of any
    discrepancies in shipments; maintains backorder files to reflect partial receipts and related information
    regarding shipments; delivers materials, equipment and supplies to appropriate departments.
  • Prepares material for shipment.
  • Completes departmental paperwork: completes service requests to have equipment moved or rearranged;
    assists with department inventory; files and compiles departmental paperwork.
  • Assists with disposition of surplus property.
  • Issues property tags to all new equipment.
  • Maintains databases for equipment and materials dealing with inventory and circulation; proposes and
    implements system improvements.
  • Evaluates database for data integrity errors and accuracy of information.
  • Provides training on Assets Database and Inventory management.
  • Works with Project Coordinators and Camps Managers to process, inventory and distribute all
  • Information Technology equipment orders.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

    Education, experience, and other requirements:

    Associate's Degree or equivalent and over three (3) years of relevant full-time experience.
